Testimonials

  • I am glad to be able to recommend our friends and fellow laborers in the work of the Lord, Steven and Vonda Hamilton, Expressions of Emmanuel. We have observed their dedication to the work that God has called them and their family to, which is making and developing DVDs in a very professional way, to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible to the deaf. Steve and Vonda are very diligent and dedicated to this ministry.

I feel that Vonda has found a wonderful way to communicate the truths of God's word to the Deaf. I pray that she will be able to continue to produce these vital truths and get them into the hands of Church leaders, both deaf churches and hearing churches. They very powerfully through drama and songs on DVDs convey the message of God's word.

Our church, Signs of Love Deaf church, believe that what Steve and Vonda have to offer to both the deaf churches and the hearing churches needs to be funded so she can mass produce these DVDs and get them into the hands of Christian leaders every where; therefore we have prayerfully made a decision to financially support their ministry. Our prayer is that they will be able to receive an abundance of support from other churches or wherever God wants to bring it so this can be accomplished quickly, because time is of the essence. Our Lord's return is near and there is so much work that still needs to be done. May God bless, Expressions of Emmanuel's ministry to His glory and to reaching many lost souls.
-God bless, Pastor Gerald & Terry Michau

  • Vonda's animal illustrations were amazing; through this you can easily understand the word of God. We can relate our character through looking at those animals. Are we like a frog or a sloth sometimes? Vonda has such a gift from God to share His message very clearly.
-Brian (deaf graduate of ETC) and Marie Flor Plummer, Phoenix, Arizona

  • There is a deaf man in my community who had been away from church taking care of his homebound wife. I was in the habit of sharing with them the fun Christian DVDs in ASL that are available. She has since passed, and he has started attending church again. I had shared with him Vonda's songs DVD. The next week when I saw him, he thanked me for the DVD and told me how much he appreciated and enjoyed it. He asked for more. I explained that there weren't any more. He responded, "but I need more". I explained that what I meant "there aren't any more" is that there isn't any more that have been made and edited yet. His response "But I need more" has stayed with me. So I plea with you, Vonda, Steven, and you as supporters. Please "we need more". Thank you for making these terribly valuable videos with the message of Christ available.
-In His Hands, Sherry Nicks, Fulton, Missouri

  • Thank God for devotional DVD, very simple lessons, clear presentation and blessing to learn God's Word. Thank God for devotional DVD, very simple lessons, clear presentation and blessing to learn God's Word.

  • We think stories like this would be helpful in Trinidad...

  • Through Texas country scenes, Vonda matches expressions in songs 'branded with hope.' In Vonda's range of emotions - humor to sadness - we see the signs of hope in Christ. Great for personal devotionals, small groups, or worship. Deaf and hearing people will enjoy this!
    -Tom

  • From Philadelphia to Colorado to Hawaii, Vonda takes us across the country to open our eyes to parables and stories from the Bible. A useful teaching tool for small groups, Sunday schools, or personal devotions, this DVD is a good bridge between the Deaf and hearing.
    -Tom

  • With touching emotion, Vonda Hamilton puts into beautiful sign language the Christ-centered music of the Branded Duo. When you watch the way she signs such songs as Praise You, Blood of Jesus and Today you can't help but feel like worshipping right along with her. Her lively renditions of New Walk, Washed in the Blood and Clean on the Inside not only put a smile on your face, but cause you to think about the meanings of the songs and your Christian walk. The music and vocals by Branded, along with Vonda's skilled signing and the beautiful background, all combine to make the entire album one that you will want to watch over and over again.
    -Mark

  • ...I wanted to commend you on the FANTASTIC job you did at the Austin Deaf Crusade with the kids ministries – wow.  It was sooo good and way above and beyond anything I had seen in the past.  You certainly have a gift to set up the whole environment, bring in the right supplies, work with the kids, and so much more.  And I really enjoyed all that Steven and your kids did also to help minister throughout that weekend in October.

  • To whom it may concern,
I am writing in support of Vonda Hamilton.
I have known Vonda for about three years, and she has led some of our youth ministry programs at our church, Jesus Lutheran Church of the Deaf and has also been the guest speaker at the Austin Deaf Crusade in October, 2009. She has a gift of being able to proclaim clearly the Gospel of Jesus Christ in her skits and her music with the Deaf children with whom she has worked. The children (and adults) love her. She is highly motivated and has many great plans for skits and music.
She comes with my highest recommendation to be one of your financial aid recipients.
    -Thank you,
Pastor Mark Seeger Jesus Lutheran Church of the Deaf
